Supply List
Color Companions
Carol Miller, Instructor
Approximately 2 yards of white on white fabric to use as background and as the back for the final piece.
You will need a wide variety of fabrics in small quantities. The ideal is that you have a well rounded stash and will go through it trying to find the appropriate fabric for each lesson. We will begin by making a color wheel, from both solid fabrics and low contrast print fabrics. If you actually have to buy fabric for this, a fat eighth will be plenty.
Once your color wheel is completed, you will make a series of 24" blocks. While some colors may repeat from block to block, the fabrics will probably be different.
Since this is a series on color, all our blocks will use the same basic size and shape for ease in piecing. This means you will only have to make templates once (if you are a template maker). We will provide PDF templates for you to copy. You will need one sheet of template plastic.
OR you may use the Marti Michell Perfect Patchwork Templatesä Set A (The 3" square Basic Set – templates #1 & 2).
